2003 Championship Shoot & Rendezvous

Well, the 2003 UPMLA Championship Shoot and Rendezvous is history. It was good to see old and new faces alike, and disappointing to realize how many old friends were missing.

Aside from the shooting we partook in the usual hawk and knife throwing, pan and hammer tosses, fire making, and a woods walk which, while not physically taxing, was a challenge.

Once again, though, I believe the biggest challenge was the weather. The heat and humidity were oppressive and the thunderstorms and rains a welcome respite. Fortunately, no one succumbed, so we can all look forward with hope to next year's gathering.

Elections were held; we gave a sincere "thank you" to all those who served this past year, and congratulations and good luck to our new officers.
