There will be a fin-clipping "party" this weekend (6/6/09), from 10am to 2pm, at the KBIC Coldwater Fish Hatchery in Pequaming (approx 7 miles N of L'Anse, not far from Peq Point)......If anyone would like to participate, please stop by during these hours. This work will require the the removal of the adipose fin (AD clip) on coaster brook trout and the left ventral fin (LV) on stream brookies. For people who have not done this before, you basically will be using small scissors that we provide to remove/ snip fins. Around 15,000-16,000 fish need clipping.........
Please let me know if you have questions or if you need more info. Thanks!
