PURPOSE:

From the Constitution and Bylaws - "The purpose of this club shall be:

To further and advance the quality of the environment and promote conservation of our natural resources.
To perpetuate and conserve fish, wildlife, mineral, air, water, forest, and land resources.
To encourage multiple use of our forest and land resources.
To promote conservation education programs.
To protect and defend the right of our citizens to own, keep and bear arms."

FACILITIES:

Lighted Trap Field - Trapshooting on Wednesdays

Outdoor Rifle Range to 400 yards with Covered Firing Line

Outdoor Bullseye Pistol Range with Covered Firing Line - on Tuesdays

Outdoor Action Pistol Range

Outdoor Archery Range and Horseshoes and Running Deer

PROGRAMS:

The Ottawa Sportsmen's Club runs an annual week long Junior Shooting Sports Camp for NRA style target shooting, sponsors the MUCC magazine "Tracks" to local school kids, conducts an annual Turkey Shoot, Wild Game Dinner, Venison Booyaw, shooting programs, and other events. Additionally, the club sponsors youths at the MUCC Camp, offers Conservation Scholarships, teaches Hunter Safety Classes, supports conservation related Teacher Education, holds a BB Gun Class, and relates sportsmen's concerns to Lansing via their MUCC involvement.

MEMBERSHIP:

$25.00 annual dues include a subscription to the Michigan United Conservation Clubs magazine "Michigan Out-Of-Doors". There is a one time $10.00 initiation fee. Membership Meetings are on the First Monday of each month at 7:30 pm at the clubhouse. There is a Steak Fry (6pm) before summer meetings.

I give my pledge as an American to save and faithfully defend from waste the natural resources of my country - Its air, soil, and minerals, its forests, waters, and wildlife.
